Bereavement Counseling
Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries offers short-term bereavement counseling at no cost. Please contact Sister Teresa McIntier, (602) 267-1329 x 141 for more information or an appointment. Sister Teresa McIntier, MS, RN, FT, a sister of St. Joseph of Carondolet is a former faculty member of the American Academy of Bereavement. For 15 years she presented seminars to professionals on topics of grief and loss. Sr. Teresa was granted a certificate in Thanatology in 2003 and a Fellow in Thanatology in 2005 from the Association of Death Education and Counseling. Sister joined the staff of Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries as Bereavement Counselor following 18 years as a specialist in grief counseling at Catholic Charities.
